Avila beach before the big storm

Big storm brewin out here. Decided to head to the beach to see some big waves. It was really windy, but no impressive waves. Saw a few in the 10 foot area. The plan is the head back tomorrow and find a few 20 foot ones. 

While out looking for some waves, took a detour to Harford pier. About a mile out side of Avlila. Seemed like kind of a run down place, but it was very cool in a completely unsafe way. There was a place to get fried seafood outside and what looks like a nice restaurant on the end. I definitely didn't expect as much car traffic on the pier as there was.

Went for a hike today just south of Los Osos CA. About 15 miles from where I live. I didn't have a lot of time, so the hike was only 3.2 miles, but still amazing. With every turn came an amazing view. For more pics, check out:

Hiking in SLO

Short post today. Have to get to work for a little while. The weather pretty much sucked my first month here. It rained nearly everyday. All that seems to be behind me now. The weather for the past week has been sunny and warm. Great weather for getting out side. Today's activity was a hike up Cerro San Luis. A very nice hike, not too hard but a good work out. Took about 2 hours to cover 5 miles. Stopped a few times along the way for some pictures and to enjoy the view. For more pictures, click here:
